A Recap of Our GlobalGiving Campaign : Over $15K USD Raised!

Last September, Mkono took part of GlobalGiving’s Accelerator’s Program. In 3 weeks, we aimed to raise $10K USD. We’re excited to share that the campaign totaled $15K USD in donations, over 150% of our initial goal!

Key highlights
From September 13 to September 30, we raised $19,235 CAD (~$15KUSD) from 133 donors, including 6 monthly donors. This places us at 10th place overall among other participants of the Accelerator program. Check out the full leaderboard here.

Because of the number of donors and donations, we will be featured on GlobalGiving's homepage for 24 hours which will help us connect with more donors! 

By surpassing the $5K USD mark set by GlobalGiving’s Accelerator program, we have secured a position within the GlobalGiving community as permanent partners. From now on, people from anywhere in the world can donate to our cause directly through the GlobalGiving platform. Furthermore, we will be able to continue to extend our reach and gain exposure to corporate partners. To learn more about GlobalGiving and what they offer, see this blog article. 

Your donations at work
The money raised will go towards providing loans and mentorship sessions to 160 entrepreneurs over the next 5 years. From expanding inventory to acquiring critical equipment, these loans will allow entrepreneurs to expand their business. Read our project proposal to get more insight on our impact.
