Throughout the month of June, we wanted to celebrate Kenya and all that it has to offer. We asked Mkono entrepreneurs to share with us their Kenyan favourites. Here is a round-up of their answers! 🌄 👇
What is your favourite food?
Kenya offers a great variety of dishes that you can find anywhere from sit down restaurants to street food pushcarts.

Ugali represents one of the most popular dishes among locals. It is made of cornmeal and is often accompanied with cooked vegetables or a stew.

From national reserves to islands, Kenya features diverse landscapes and bright communities.

The island of Lamu is Anthony's (Kaleidoscope Creations Kenya) favourite place. Situated near Mombasa, the island's Old Town is the country's oldest Swahili Settlement. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site (UNESCO 2021).

On the other side of the coast, the Maasai Mara National Reserve is Declan's (Afrinet Capital) place of choice. It is an important wildlife conservation site. It is the home to large populations of lion, leopard, cheetah and elephant.
